PPG Sigma SigmaZinc 9 (SigmaZinc 170 and Dimetcote 9) 10L

PPG Sigma SigmaZinc 9 (formerly SigmaZinc 170 and Dimetcote 9) is a two component, moisture curing, zinc (ethyl) silicate primer designed to protect structural steel from corrosion in an industrial or construction based environment.

SigmaZinc 9 can be used internally or externally in extreme conditions and offers excellent abrasion and impact resistance. It has a high zinc content is suitable for use as a primer for systems based on unsaponifiable binders.

SigmaZinc 9 complies with the compositional requirements of SSPC Paint 20, Level 1.

It dries to form a grey, flat finish.

Application (at 20C):

• Stir well before use
• Apply with spray (brush or roller for touch up and spot repair only)
• Touch dry: 15 minutes
• Recoatable: 24 hours
• Full cure after 46 hours
• Coverage: 8.4m² per litre at 75 microns
• Volume solids: 63%
• Recommended dry film thickness: 50-100 microns depending on system
• Recommended thinner: 90-53, 21-06 (Amercoat 65), 21-25 (Amercoat 101)
