PPG Sigma SigmaZinc 109 HS (Amercoat 68G) 8L

PPG Sigma SigmaZinc 109 HS (formerly Amercoat 68G) is a two component, high solids, polyamide adduct cured, zinc epoxy primer for use on steel and blasted steel in various environments, including industrial, construction and commercial.

SigmaZinc 109 HS is primarily used as an undercoat which can be painted with various zinc epoxy topcoats and systems with high solids epoxy build coats, to prevent steel structures and appliances from corrosion and water damage. It is quick drying and can be used as a holding primer for maintenance systems when a short overcoating interval is required.

SigmaZinc 109 HS is Highways Agency Approved Item No 109 and comes in a red grey, flat finish.

Application (at 20C):

• Stir well before use
• Apply with brush, roller or spray
• Touch dry: 2.5 hours
• Recoatable: 4 hours
• Full cure after 7 days
• Coverage: 11.0m² per litre at 60 microns
• Volume solids: 66%
• Recommended dry film thickness: 50-150 microns depending on system
• Recommended thinner: 91-92
