PPG Sigma SigmaWeld 199 18L

PPG Sigma SigmaWeld 199 is a two component, moisture curing, low zinc (ethyl) silicate prefabrication primer which is suitable for automatic application on shot blasted steel plates.

SigmaWeld 199 is extremely fast drying so it reduces downtime, allowing you to get back to work quickly. It can be used in seawater immersion in combination with controlled cathodic protection systems and also provides good cutting and welding properties, including MIG and MAG welding in various positions such as automatic or manual welding.

SigmaWeld 199 provides regular smooth welding seams and releases little or no fumes during welding and cutting.

SigmaWeld 199 comes in a red brown or grey, flat finish.

Application (at 20C):      

• Stir well before use
• Apply with spray
• Touch dry: 6 minutes
• Recoatable: 3 days
• Full cure after 3 days
• Coverage: 13.9m² per litre at 18 microns
• Volume solids: 25%        
• Recommended dry film thickness: 18 microns
• Recommended thinner: 90-53
