PPG Sigma SigmaShield 460 20L

PPG Sigma SigmaShield 460 is a two component, high solids, glass flake reinforced, polyamine adduct epoxy coating for steel and blasted steel in industrial and marine exposures. Highways Agency Item No 123.

SigmaShield 460 offers long-term protection and excellent abrasion and impact resistance in areas subject to heavy wear and tear. It is highly suited for use on ice-going vessels and offers extremely good corrosion resistance that protects the surface from natural damage caused by the environment.

SigmaShield 460 is highly suited for use in marine environments to protect against water and chemicals, offering very low water permeability thanks to the glass flake barrier.

SigmaShield 460 comes in a gloss finish in black, off white or light grey.

Application (at 20C):

• Stir well before use
• Apply with brush, roller or spray
• Touch dry: 3 hours
• Recoatable: 16 hours
• Full cure after 5 days
• Coverage: 3.2m² per litre at 250 microns, 2.0m² per litre at 400 microns
• Volume solids: 81%
• Recommended dry film thickness: 250-400 microns depending on system
• Recommended thinner: 91-92
