PPG Sigma SigmaShield 400 (SigmaShield 825, Amerlock 400 GF) 20L

PPG Sigma SigmaShield 400 (formerly SigmaShield 825, Amerlock 400 GF) is a two component, high solids, glass flake reinforced, polyamine adduct epoxy coating for steel and blasted steel in industrial and marine exposures.

SigmaShield 400 offers long-term protection and excellent abrasion and impact resistance in areas subject to heavy wear and tear. It can be applied in temperatures down to 10C. It is highly suited for use on ice-going vessels and offers extremely good corrosion resistance that protects the surface from natural damage caused by the environment.

SigmaShield 400 is highly suited for use in marine environments to protect against water and chemicals, offering very low water permeability thanks to the glass flake barrier. It is suitable for immersion service.

SigmaShield 400 comes in an eggshell finish in black or light grey.

Application (at 20C):

• Stir well before use
• Apply with spray (brush or roller for touch-up and spot repair only)
• Touch dry: 6 hours
• Recoatable: 24 hours
• Full cure after 8 days
• Coverage: 4.4m² per litre at 200 microns
• Volume solids: 87%
• Recommended dry film thickness: 200-750 microns depending on system
• Recommended thinner: 21-06
