PPG Sigma SigmaPrime 700 20L

PPG Sigma SigmaPrime 700 is a two component, multi-purpose, polyamide cured epoxy paint system which protects steel, galvanised steel and non-ferrous metals from corrosion and water damage.

SigmaPrime 700 can be used on a huge variety of steel structures in construction, marine and industrial environments, both internally and externally, to offer extreme corrosion and water resistance on a daily basis.

It is an epoxy primer system suitable for use on ballast tanks, decks, topside, superstructure, hull, oil tanks and cargo holds.

SigmaPrime 700 can be overcoated with almost all alkyd, chlorinated rubber, vinyl, epoxy and polyurethane coatings suitable for use on metal substrates. SigmaPrime 700 is suitable for touching up weld seams and damaged epoxy coatings.

It dries in temperatures as low as 5C to an eggshell finish..

Application (at 20C):

• Stir well before use
• Apply with spray, brush or roller
• Touch dry: 2 hours
• Recoatable: 4 hours
• Full cure after 7 days
• Coverage: 7.0m² per litre at 100 microns, 3.5m² per litre at 200 microns
• Volume solids: 70%
• Recommended dry film thickness: 100-200 microns
• Recommended thinner: 91-92 (no thinner needed for brush/roller)
