PPG Sigma SigmaLine 523 20L

PPG Sigma SigmaLine 523 is a two component, solvent free, polyamine cured epoxy coating for protecting pipes against the effects of potable water. It is highly resistant to various types of bacterial attack.

It is fast curing, especially when applied to preheated substrates, and can be applied to rotating pipes at a dry film thickness up to 600 microns at a substrate temperature up to 50C (up to 900 microns at 10C) by twin feed, hot, airless spray .

It is approved for drinking water up to 60C according to BS6920 (yellow only).

It comes in a yellow or red brown, gloss finish.

Application (at 20C):

• Stir well before use
• Apply with airless spray (brush or roller for stripe coating and spot repair only)
• Touch dry: 3 hours
• Recoatable: 30 minutes
• Full cure after 60 hours
• Coverage: 1.7m² per litre at 600 microns, 3.3m² per litre at 300 microns
• Volume solids: 100%
• Recommended dry film thickness: 300-600 microns per coat
• Recommended thinner: do not thin
