PPG Sigma SigmaLine 403 20L

PPG Sigma SigmaLine 403 is a two component, polyamide cured epoxy flow coating designed to reduce the friction inside steel pipes for the transportation of purified natural gas.

SigmaLine 403 should be applied to blasted steel and chemically cleaned steel which is above 5C so it adheres properly and is left to dry in conditions not exposed to adverse weather conditions such as condensation, rain, fog and snow.

SigmaLine 403 has excellent anti-corrosive properties on pipes and other surfaces where a low friction surface is required.

It comes in a red brown, gloss finish and can be used to decorate pipe exteriors too.

Price includes hardener.              

Application (at 20C):

• Stir well before use
• Apply with airless spray (brush or roller for stripe coating and spot repair only)
• Touch dry: 45 minutes
• Recoatable: 8 hours
• Full cure after 7 days
• Coverage: 13.5m² per litre at 40 microns, 9.0m² per litre at 60 microns
• Volume solids: 54%
• Recommended dry film thickness: 40-60 microns depending on surface preparation
• Recommended thinner: 21-06
