PPG Sigma SigmaGuard CSF 585

PPG Sigma SigmaGuard CSF 585 is a two component, solvent free, amine cured, epoxy coating designed for coating tanks, which has been approved by KIWA Holland for tanks containing drinking water.

SigmaGuard CSF 585 provides a protective and decorative coating which significantly reduce the risk of explosion and fire hazard and offers improved visibility in confined spaces because of its light colour. It can be used on blasted steel and concrete to provide a blue, gloss finish. SigmaGuard 215 can be used if a holding primer is required to improve adhesion.

Application (at 20C):

• Stir well before use
• Apply with airless spray (brush or roller for stripe coating and spot repair only)
• Touch dry: 5 hours
• Recoatable: 24 hours
• Full cure after 12 days
• Coverage: 3.3m² per litre at 300 microns
• Volume solids: 100%
• Recommended dry film thickness: 250-400 microns depending on system
• Recommended thinner: do not thin
