PPG Sigma PSX 700 Engineered Siloxane

A two component engineered siloxane coating designed to offer unique, high gloss and colour retention on various surfaces. PSX 700 adheres strongly to coated steel and inorganic zinc silicate coated surfaces on new construction, repair and field maintenance coating projects. It provides effective long-term corrosion control and weather ability.

Available in most BS and RAL colours.

PPG PSX 700 Engineered Siloxane can be applied by brush, roller or spray and is touch dry in 2 hours, recoatable after 3 hours.

• Good resistance to splash and spillage of chemicals

For lighting columns, PPG's standard specification recommends galvanised steel surfaces are prepared by thorough cleaning, degreasing and washing, then abrasion by belt sanding, followed by application of the following:

• SigmaCover 280 Primer at 50 microns
• Sigmarite 4560GF (previously Amercoat 4560GF) at 300microns
• PSX700 at 100 microns

Application:                                                                                                                 

• Stir well before use
• Apply with brush, roller or spray
• Touch dry: 2 hours (at 20C)
• Recoatable: 3 hours                                      
• Coverage: 7.2m² per litre at 175 microns
• Volume solids: 90%
• Recommended dry film thickness: 75-175 microns per coat
• Recommended thinner: 60-12, 21-06
