PPG Sigma AquaWeld 100 18L

PPG Sigma AquaWeld 100 is a two component, moisture curing, water based, low zinc (ethyl) silicate prefabrication primer.

AquaWeld 100 is suitable for immediate application on shot blasted steel plates and is extremely fast drying to reduce downtime and therefore cost, in a construction or industrial environment.

AquaWeld 100 can be immersed in seawater in combination with controlled cathodic protection systems and also offers good cutting and welding properties, including MIG/MAG welding, in various positions such as automatic or manual welding.

AquaWeld 100 provides regular smooth welding seams and releases little or no fumes during welding and cutting. It is ideal for use in the construction industry where welding is common practice.

AquaWeld 100 comes in a red brown, flat finish.

Application (at 20C):      

• Stir well before use
• Apply with airless spray
• Touch dry: 10 minutes
• Recoatable: 7 days
• Coverage: 16.7m² per litre at 18 microns
• Volume solids: 30%        
• Recommended dry film thickness: 18 microns
• Recommended thinner: do not thin
