PPG Sigma AquaCover 40 (formerly Amercoat 220LS) is a one component, water based, weather resistant and colour retentive topcoat for many surfaces including suitably primed steel (such as Aquacover 20) and Plastisol cladding.
It is a water based acrylic dispersion finish for use in industrial or commercial exposures, which protects against weathering that might weaken the substrate. PPG Sigma AquaCover 40 is particularly suitable for projects where solvents are not permitted for health and safety reasons.
Sigma AquaCover 40 is a fast-drying, fast-handling product which is not suitable for immersion in water. It is available in most BS and RAL colours and has a semi-gloss finish.
Application:
- Stir well before use
- Apply with spray, long haired brush or polyether roller with rounded edges
- Touch dry: 30 minutes
- Recoatable: 4 hours
- Coverage: 8.2m2 per litre
- Volume solids: 42%
- Recommended dry film thickness: 50 microns
- Recommended thinner: tap water
