Amercoat 71 was a two component, polyamide cured, epoxy tiecoat for a wide range of topcoats suitable for immersion and non-immersion.

PPG Sigma Amercoat 71 TC provided excellent adhesion to steel, shop primer, galvanised steel and non-ferrous metals, and formed a durable coating system. It was suitable for use as a tiecoat over PPG Sigma Dimetcote.

PPG Sigma Amercoat 71 TC came in an off white, flat finish.

Price includes hardener.  

Application (at 20C):

• Stir well before use
• Apply with spray, brush or roller
• Touch dry: 2 hours
• Recoatable: 4 hours
• Full cure after 7 days
• Coverage: 10.2m² per litre at 50 microns, 5.1m² per litre at 100 microns
• Volume solids: 51%
• Recommended dry film thickness: 50-100 microns
• Recommended thinner: 91-83
