MIPA PU 215-XX 2K Direct to Metal Paint
2K Polyurethane Acrylic D.T.M. (direct-to-metal) with active protection against corrosion, Satin (30%) semi gloss (50%) or high gloss (80%), fast drying in HS quality. Zinc phosphate additives included to make this product a top-performer in the D.T.M. category.
Particularly suitable for high-quality single-layer coating of machines, chassis, components, constructions in interior and exterior areas. Direct adhesion to many substrates makes this a multi-surface product ideal not just for metal and is available in any colour using our mixing scheme.

Preparation;
remove oil, grease, rust, mill scale, rolling skins, as well as other substances impairing the function of the coating
Attention: A direct adhesion cannot be taken as granted due to most different kinds of metals, alloys, metallic and conversion coatings and so on. The adhesion must therefore be tested on the original metal substrate.
- Steel:
- blast to cleaning degree Sa 2½, remove blast residues and overcoat promptly
- de-rust with hand and power tools to degree of cleanliness St 3
- degrease with appropriate solution
- Zinced substrates:
- clean the surface with the ammonia solution
- sweep blast
- Aluminium:
- degrease with appropriate solution and sand thoroughly with sandpaper P 360/400 and clean subsequently with silicone remover

Full B.S., RAL, N.C.S. colour shades available along with colour matching services.
Gloss level: 50% approx or 80% approx
Mixing ratio
Spraying; 4 parts paint to 1 part activator by volume.
Brush/roller; 8 parts paint to 1 part activator by volume

PU 912-25 Standard
A60 Brush/roller activator.
Application:
Spray, conventional, air-assisted airless and airless.
Brush & Roller (only with A60 activator)
Drying Time: @20oC,
Fast activator: dust dry 10-15 min, touch dry 2-3h, dry to assembly 12h
Standard activator: dust dry 20 min, touch dry 5-6h, dry to assembly 16h
Fully cured after 7 - 8 days (at 20 °C).
Theoretical coverage:
8-10 sq. metres/litre dependent upon film thickness.
