Manor ZP24 Brushing oxide primer
A solvent based anti-corrosive oxide primer with a long wet-edge, allowing for easy brushing and rollering applications. Being white spirit based this product has a low odour and can be applied over many existing coatings with little fear of any adverse reactions.
This coating is available in grey and red and due to it drying times of 2- 4 hours it affords the user to take time to coat the desired substrate with little fear of runs or sags. This product has found a strong following with users wanting a quality brush/roller finish, achievable through its slower drying time. Usually this type of primer is based on a stronger solvent which dries quicker but is more pungent.
Application is via brush or roller but conventional spray application can be achieved with up to 15% white spirit.
Prepare the substrate suitably, removing all contaminates, rust and grease. Previously painted substrates should be abraded to enhance adhesion. Ensure the substrate is clean and dry before testing a small area to ensure adhesion.
Typical usages via brush or roller application, Shipping containers, container conversions, skip manufacture and refinishing. Structural Steel, Metal fencing, Radiators, Railings and Garden Furniture coatings.
