Manor Chassis Black Gloss
A single pack, high gloss chassis coating typically used on commercial vehicles and trailers. With its long “wet-edge”, this is suitable for many brush applications for example, garden furniture, machinery, gates, railings etc. over a suitable rust inhibiting primer

- high gloss, excellent opacity.
- jet black finish.
- good resistance once cured to fuel and oil splash for single pack product
SUITABLE SUBSTRATES AND PREPARATION.
Normally applied over UPF or UPF CT primer, see data sheets for these products for primer details. Other primers are prone to de-lamination of the topcoat from the primer when chassis’ are pressure washed. Surfaces must be dry, sound and free from dirt, dust, mill scale, rust and grease.
Previously painted surfaces; remove rust, remove loose/flaky paint, patch prime, lightly abrade whole surface, remove dust, dirt, oil and grease prior to application.

DRYING AND RECOATING.
Approximate drying times at 40 microns d.f.t.
Substrate temperature Touch Dry Minimum Maximum
10C 6 hours 8 hours 3 days (see note)
20C 3 hours 4 hours 3 days (see note)
Note After 2-3 days air drying between coats it is important to lightly abrade the coating to remove surface gloss and improve intercoat adhesion. Allow 16 hours for the flatted paint to heal up prior to recoating to prevent wrinkling.
The air temperature should be at least 5 C with a surface temperature 3 C above dew point and the relative humidity below 90% thus ensuring that the surface is dry and that condensation will not occur during application or drying. The drying times will be significantly extended in cold, damp conditions.
A further coat of the product may be applied if required.
SHELF-LIFE Store in cool, dry conditions, typically 5-25C. After a period of storage, the product should be thoroughly stirred. Usable life is 2 years from date of manufacture in unopened containers.
