Johnstones StainAway is an innovative wall and ceiling paint with high level opacity. It contains Stain Blocking Technology, permanently isolating even the most persistent stains such as smoke damage, nicotine damage and water stains in one product. Johnstones StainAway is a primer and finish in one product which sets it apart from its rivals.
Application by brush, roller or spray. Coverage 9-11 sqm per litre.

Working on many projects as a painter, I often come across walls & ceilings that have persistent stains, due to
nicotine stains, fire damage or water marks. These stains are difficult to permanently cover, as they tend to
reappear, even after a few layers of paint. To stop the stains coming back I need to use a Stain Blocking primer
before the top coat, which extends the job. If I could get one product that would isolate stains and leave a
durable flat matt finish, it would save me time of using a separate stain blocking primer.
