Dulux Trade Aqua Uniprimer White

Dulux Trade Aqua UniPrimer is a high-performance, fast-drying, water-based primer with advanced adhesion properties for all major interior & exterior substrates, including wood, metal uPVC, and glossy pre-painted surfaces. It penetrates porous substrates, seals surfaces, blocks significant stains and inhibits rust. Its excellent opacity and professional finish means it can also be used as an undercoat, making it the perfect solution for any project.

Preparation
To get the best results, ensure surfaces to be painted are sound, clean and dry (new surfaces particularly must be fully dry) and free from all defective or poorly adhering material such as efflorescence, dirt, grease or wax.

For bare metal surfaces, pre-treatment is recommended to ensure good adhesion. Soak a sanding pad in a mild alkaline cleaning solution and lightly abrade on bare metal. Leave for 10 minutes and lightly abrade again. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and allow the surface to dry well before applying Dulux Trade Aqua UniPrimer.

Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead.

Application
Brush, Roller or Spray.

As with all water-based paints, do not apply at temperatures below 8ºC (as recommended by British Standard BS 6150).

Curing: The dry film takes 7 days to fully cure for adhesion.

• Finish: Matt

• Coverage: Up to 10m² per litre

• Drying Time: 30 minutes depending on temperature and humidity

• Recoatable: 1 hour. Note: The dry and curing time of the product will increase at lower temperatures and higher humidities. For these conditions, as well as painting over large surface areas, covering stains, or using tinted product, leave 2 hours to dry. Curing- The dry film takes 7 days to fully cure for adhesion.
