Dulux Heritage Red Ochre

Each column in the chart includes two pale, two mid and two deep tones, with the perfect white to complement them at the bottom. Pale tones offer a hint of colour for a light and airy feel, or can be used to gently lift ceilings and woodwork against deep or mid tones. Choose a mid tone to create a cosy and comfortable space. They go beautifully with white or a paler tone of the same colour for a softer look. Deep tones make an impact if you paint one colour on all walls, or use one to enhance a focal point and create a feature. The Heritage whites have been specially selected to coordinate with the other tones in the same column of colour, whether for your woodwork, walls or ceilings.

The easiest way to use the chart is to pick one dominant colour, for your walls for example, and team it with the white at the bottom of the same column, for use on your skirting, door frames or accessories such as chairs. For a classic elegant look, pick one main colour for the room and use the other shades from that column to decorate other elements or for your accessories. Colours in the columns next to each other can also be used to create a subtle layered effect choose from two or three columns next to each other.

Eggshell: a durable, solvent-based mid-sheen finish that brings a classic look to woodwork and metal without needing an undercoat, except when there is a strong colour change.
Diamond Eggshell: as above but the finish is 10 times tougher than Dulux Trade Vinyl Silk and is resistant to typical household stains. Quick drying.
Satinwood: a hardwearing, solvent-based modern finish for wood and metal which does not need an undercoat, except when there is a strong colour change.
Gloss: a solvent-based finish which adds a reflective shine and long-lasting protection to interior wood and metal.
